How to identify it
- Two mouths at opposite ends of one body, with a fixed fence between them.
- Marked with the stock thickness it is cut for - check this before buying, because a match plane for the wrong thickness is decorative.
- The 148 is the common size; other numbers in the series cover other thicknesses.
